MERCHANTS FREELY ENTER enfolds as an uncanny tale, creating juxtaposition of times. The razor-sharp close-ups and scanning bird's-eye views examine new technologies to capture images and their impact on sight, representation and control of western landscapes.

Close- ups, wide- aerial- views and a mystical narrative navigate through a world of an arcane imagination (costumes and masks), archaic appropriation (agriculture) and digital empowerment (drone mounted cameras). Hybrid and para-neutral characters straddle and collapse states between real and artificial, intimacy and distance, dead and alive. The viewer finds himself permanently torn in an ongoing interplay between attraction and rejection.
